REMI shoots for NIKE for Black History Month

As part of its celebration of Black History Month, NIKE has created a limited edition of shoes, socks, shorts, shirts and hats to honour the athletes and coaches of colour who have impacted positively on the sport. Here is Remi shot by JUCO for the campaign.

This year, the honorees are Theotis Beasley (skateboard), Kevin-Prince Boateng (soccer), Jerry Rice (football), Brianna Rollins (track & field), C. Vivian Stringer (basketball) and John Thompson (basketball).

A portion of the proceeds will go to organizations that cater to underprivileged youth through sports.

GADAL's newest model Marc-Lee has certainly started with a bang!

Straight out of the starting blocks and onto the cover of the much anticipated second book of erotic poet Robert Gibson: SEDUCTION

Robert Gibson aka 'Passion Poet' as he is affectionately known was born in Barbados and is considered to be the 'ZANE' of the Caribbean poetry world. 
His first book EROTIC being a sold-out success!

His second highly anticipated book is expected to be the 'climax' to his first one and he enlisted the help of GADAL Model Management Inc. to make the cover as hot as the inside. 

While we can't let the cat out of the bag before the official book launch we can give you a sneak peek...

With a great team of creatives behind the book: James Clarke of Pin Point Photography and cover design by Idea Manifest we are sure that Marc-Lee will soon be in your hands...because; who could ever leave him on the shelf?

AND THEN...THERE WAS JAMAUL!

...and then there was JAMAUL!

Its the sudden-ness of it all that grabs you...one minute the 6' 2" island boy is posting physique images to us here in Barbados at GADAL (and in the background one can see his refrigerator- amateurish one might say- but very authentic).

Six short months later he's preparing to visit his international agency after being offered a contract! 
(keep watching this space and we'll disclose later)

It couldn't get any more real than that!

It's amazing what some pics in the kitchen can do.

Suddenly the images go from amateurish snap-shots in front of the refrigerator to sizzling hot ones as shot by jamaican photography prodigy Wade Rhoden; add the styling of fellow jamaican stylist Michael Atkinson and you have the start of a model career as sudden as a storm at sea.

 

 

 

One moment there was a boy posing in front of the fridge and then...there was JAMAUL.

As promised here are some of the highlights of our models in G Caribbean Magazine.  Our models; Christopher, Darian and Ramon look debonaire and bring a fresh 'island boy' presence and sophistication to issue one of the 2014 edition of the publication.

Under the theme "Tropical Trends" the spread highlighted Caribbean fashion; from suits to swimwear, in the typical explosion of colour we've come to associate the Caribbean with; but with each individual piece being far from 'typical'.

The Caribbean Man has always looked good; physique, presence and personality; and thanks to the guidance of an increasing number of fashion magazines aimed at and hilighting the talent of caribbean people; the clothes can finally keep up!

Featuring brands like Millhouse; Ecliff Elie and boutiques such as Praxis and shot right here in BARBADOS, Caribbean Fashion never looked so good!

ALEX: Signed, Sealed, Delivered...I'm Yours

Here at GADAL Model Management we enjoy making model dreams come through; 

the latest model to wear the "I'm Signed!" Grin on his face is our very own Alex Blair.

Barely in his 20's himself, Alex (probably due to that amazing smile) was given the nod by the great team at: TWENTY MANAGEMENT.

Scouted by our friend Akin in London; who put him on to us here in Barbados, Alex is set to take Cape Town by storm! 

With a population of approximately 3.74 million, Cape Town is a cosmopolitan city spread below the impressive 3,000ft high Table Mountain and listed as number one in the New York Times list: '52 Places to Go in 2014'!

isiXhosa is one of eleven official languages of South Africa and "Hamba kahle" means "Go well!"

JABARRY HITS THE ROOF! "BONNIE & CLYDE"

Don't be alarmed our 'new face' Jabarry didn't lose his temper or punch anyone out; 

on the contrary Jabarry and freelance model Erika were all smiles as they headed up to the gorgeous roof-deck (complete with pool) of the Ocean 2 Hotel.

The property which overlooks the Barbados south coast and a stretch of unbelievably blue sea was a fitting start for what the aspiring model described as his first "real photoshoot".

The smiles soon changed however; as the pair served-up Bonnie & Clyde faces under the direction of the artistic team. If we didn't know better; we'd think the real gangster couple had come for a vacation!

The 'fierce faces' didn't outshine the beauty of the clothing and accessories provided by Attitude Boutique and Republic 21 however; throw in the magic touch of Danielle Archer of Colour Coded Makeup and gangster never looked so good!  

With resident UK photographer Matthew John on the lens and a clear blue tropical sky; here is just a sneak peek of the images created, not a bad start for the 6' 3" aspiring model.
